The Hillen Family | Leigh, Nebraska Family Session
So, let me tell you a few things about my in-laws. They are indecisive, tend to over-think everything, are set in their ways, are a bunch of smarty-pantses with an endless supply of short people jokes, can be a little whiney when it comes to being in sub-zero weather without a jacket… and, you know what, I wouldn't want them any other way! Truth be told, I have pretty awesome in-laws. They are also very kind, generous, smart, strong, witty, and value family as much as I do. Oh, and they are tall, too. Very tall. Time spent with them is always full of love and laughs. Our attempt at a DIY family photo session on New Year's Day is photographic proof of such fondness and shenanigans. After lengthy discussions about the date, time, location, and wardrobe, we ventured out on the zero-degree day to hopefully get some updated family photos. We succeeded in getting a few good ones… and a whole lotta goofy ones! Everyone was complaining about how cold it was, but could we take the session seriously enough to smile, snap some pics, and scoot back inside? Of course not! Where would be the fun in that? Thus the focus of this post - the outtakes - the Hillen family at its very best. Enjoy!
And a few of the "good" ones… :)
