Rachel & Dan | University of DE Engagement Session

I was over the moon excited when Rachel emailed me about taking their engagement photos. First, because we're family and it's always a fun time when we're together. Next, because Rachel is truly one of the most beautiful people I know, inside and out! She is sweet, thoughtful, and simply stunning. Photographing her was going to be way too easy! I guess I should also say that Dan isn't too bad looking either, huh? ;) And lastly, because engagement sessions are my favorite kind of session. Two people so in love make the best photo subjects. In every image you can feel the excitement of the upcoming wedding day, the anticipation of soon starting their new life as husband and wife, and the peace and happiness shared between them knowing they've found their match. Ah, warms my heart! We started the session on University of Delaware's campus where the two lovebirds' romance began. Fall classes had not started yet and it was nice having the place to ourselves! Yellow is one of Rachel and Dan's wedding colors and I love the way her heels compliment his shirt. We then traveled up the road to Fair Hill Nature Center. Another beautiful backdrop for the beautiful couple! We chased the sun around the park and when it finally set, our session ended. I was genuinely bummed as I loved having these two in front of my camera. Can't wait for their June 2015 wedding when they're back in front of my camera again!
