Jonah is 1! | Lititz, PA Family Session

My first session of 2014 with the Birk family was such a blast! They are easy-going, super-cute, and game for anything! And thank goodness for that because it was COLD! The snow was so beautiful, snapping some quick family pics outside was a must! After playing in the snow for longer than we probably should have, we returned to the warmth of the studio and proceeded with portraits of Jonah. What a ham! He was happiest when he got to sit on something- a stool, suitcase… anything! Next stop: Photobooth! Jonah's 1st birthday party has a 'mustache and bow tie' theme and I just happen to have tons of mustache props! Doesn't everyone? :) I have to say my favorite part of the session was the cake smash! It's so thrilling to see if the little ones will like it or not, and what they do when the rules for playing with food go out the window! Jonah was definitely interested in what this frosted round thing was sitting on a stand in front of him. He began with just a finger, but soon had both hands elbow deep in the sugary goodness! He played mostly, but once dad helped him really get a taste of what it was he had all over him, in went the fists to the mouth! So fun!
