Truth be told, I am growing to absolutely adore first birthday cake smashes! The excitement begins with the anticipation of not knowing whether the little cherub will like it or not ... The excitement intensifies with the first touch of the icing, and the excitement is beyond words when the birthday boy or girl is covered head to toe in ooey, gooey sugary deliciousness! What a super sweet (literally!) moment shared by all. I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family on one of THE NICEST days we've had all winter. Smiles all around not only because Ariana's birthday was right around the corner, but because the sun was out and the snow was quickly vanishing. Much to celebrate! Happy Birthday, Ariana!
