Meghan + Joe | Skytop Lodge Summer Wedding

On the day I publish this post, 586 days will have passed since this, one of my most favorite weddings to date, took place at the ever charming Skytop Lodge. Even though much has happened since (welcome to the world, Florence!), I would be remiss if I didn’t share this incredibly special day not only for my benefit of reflecting on the experiences and relationships this career has gifted me, but also for your enjoyment and inspiration! Everything about this wedding was top tier and from the few photos I have shared on Instagram, many in the industry, as well as many future brides, agree! While Meghan’s detachable sleeves were seemingly the star of the show, for me it is this family that is the magic. In the Summer of 2018 I photographed Meghan’s twin sister’s wedding, also at Skytop. Kate and Jon’s wedding, fun and beautiful as it was and my first at the Pocono Mountain Resort, set the bar very high for all Skytop weddings to follow. Though uniquely their own, Meghan and Joe’s day easily matched that joy and beauty, and at the end of the night I was once again left with teary eyes and cheeks that hurt from smiling. The weather was perfect, the mood was light and relaxed, and there was no mistaking that love and family are paramount to Meghan and Joe. I felt like part of the fam six years ago and July 23, 2022 was a family reunion just like (or unlike?!) any other!
